Jordan Comstock |
Jordan was born in Shelby, Ohio in 1984. In 1985, his family moved to Indiana. Jordan's family attended First Baptist Church of Hammond, Indiana, under Dr. Jack Hyles. On April 8, 1989, Jordan's dad led him to Christ. |
TJ Evans |
TJ was born in Charleston, South Carolina, in 1983. One day, a man by the name of Kelly Howard (who is now the pastor of Newton County Baptist Church in Kentland, Indiana) visited TJ's house and invited him to ride the church bus. TJ and his family rode the bus, and they began attending Trident Baptist Church, where Dr. Mike Haynes is Pastor. TJ accepted Christ as his Saviour in October of 1995. TJ is SHQ's co-founder. He has, for many years now, had the desire to sing gospel music for the Lord. When Jordan and TJ met at Hyles-Anderson College, they began singing together for teen services at First Baptist in Hammond. This friendship eventually led to the formation of Sacred Heriage Quartet. |
Darryl Tarr |
Darryl was born in Fort Wayne, Indiana in 1984. He had the privilege of growing up in a Christian home, and he attended Roanoke Baptist School in Roanoke, Indiana. In 1998, his family moved to Jacksonville, Arkansas, attending Bible Baptist Church, where Mike Files is Pastor. In December of 1994, Darryl's mother shared with him the Salvation Plan, and Darryl accepted Christ as his Saviour. Darryl has three older brothers, Joseph, Michael, and Jonathan; and they are all in full-time Christian service! He also has one younger sister, Makaylah, who currently attends Hyles-Anderson College. His parents are Ron & Twyla Tarr. |
James Bell |
James Bell was born in Columbus, Ohio in 1983. James grew up in Columbus, and he attended Anchor Baptist Church where his father, Dr. George Bell, is pastor. James received Christ as his Saviour in 1993. |
Ben Papale |
Ben was born in Lewisville, Texas in 1983. In 1986, his family moved to Washington State, where he lived until graduating from high school. When Ben was five, his uncle shared with him the Gospel, and Ben accepted Christ as his Saviour. Ben started taking music lessons at the age of five. At age eleven, Ben became the organist at his home church, Bethel Baptist Church in Spanaway, Washington, pastored by Dr. Terry Minge. Over the next several years, Ben also became very involved as a vocalist and as a pianist. In 2001, Ben joined the Marine Corps Reserve. In April of 2007, shortly after returning from his second tour in Iraq, SHQ asked Ben to start traveling as the quartet’s pianist. Ben currently lives in Indiana, and he is the proud “parent” of Jake, his Bluetick Coonhound. |
